Aimbot and ESP are the pair that ruins a roleplay server fastest, and they are not the same detection problem.
An aimbot acts. It moves the crosshair in ways a hand does not, and that leaves a trace the server can reason about from movement and hit data.
ESP does not act. It reads memory and draws boxes on the cheater’s own screen, so a player who simply knows where everyone is looks like a player having a good night. Nothing reaches the server to analyse, which is why catching it needs the client-side layer. The recording shows both being caught, and that is the argument for running the two layers together rather than picking one.
